Shannon Vottero, Owner
Shannon Vottero grew up with a lab named Chopper. When she was 13, she asked her parents if she could have her very own puppy. Her parents agreed as long as she was willing to train the dog and take him to obedience classes. Shannon raised and trained Barkus and so began her lifelong affection for caring for dogs.
After graduating college and working as a graphic designer with the same firm for 11 years, Shannon was looking for more rewarding work and the possibility of being her own boss. It didn’t take long for her to realize that starting a dog walking business would be the best way to experience a more rewarding occupation and be her own boss. Shannon left the graphic design firm in 2012 and Bark Play Love was born. She landed her first client Charlie, the day after she launched her facebook page. She was hired to care for Charlie a few days before his owners even brought him home! Ten years later, Charlie is still a daily client as well as over 200 other precious pups in the Manayunk, Roxborough, East Falls, and Bala Cynwyd neighborhoods. Shannon is also a Realtor in the greater Philadelphia area and will help you find the perfect home for you and your pets!

Jess

Jess is a recent graduate of the University of the Arts of Philadelphia and is currently based in the Manayunk area. Born and raised with love for every animal, Jess has spent many summers pet-sitting and dog walking for her friends, family and individual clients.
She was more than excited to join “Bark.Play.Love.” as a walker to get to meet and interact with even more pets around the area. When she’s not walking dogs she is most likely in her studio painting and making some art with her cat Rosie Cheeks.
Jinha

A graduate of Villanova University and daughter of a US Army/Navy vet. Jinha grew up raising a chihuahua with her sister and loved caring for animals ever since. From watching neighbors dogs to friends and family’s pets, she also was a Mainline nanny for over a decade servicing both children and their family pets. In her free time she enjoys pursuing a lifestyle of health and wellness including exercise and holistic healing. Without a doubt Jinha loves giving TLC to animals!
Janna
Walker/Sitter
When Janna is not walking dogs, she is working on her PhD in Communication, Culture and Media at Drexel University. Janna grew up in South Jersey with her 3 best dog siblings and has loved animals since she was a child. She now lives in the Manayunk area and can't wait to rescue more dogs of her own! In her spare time, Janna loves to read, write, and watch classic movies.

“When I’m not working my full-time mental health job I’m walking or pet-sitting for friends, family, individual clients, and now Bark. Play. Love! I grew up with cats and dogs, including our family dog Clancy featured in this photo, and wanted to continue the quality pet time here in the Manayunk area. In my free time I enjoy practicing meditation, running, and traveling. Looking forward to being on the BPL team!”
Andrea

Andrea has been a member of the Manyunk/Roxborough community for over a decade. Her beloved childhood golden retriever, Sandy, made her a Dog Person forever. She has two rescues of her own, a yorkipoo named Spencer and a grey cat named Count Chocula. Andrea has spent years pet sitting for friends, neighbors, and coworkers, and is excited to meet your four-legged family members!
